Bikini Elf news

I just joined the Spring into Summer Dishcloth Swap and will be putting together a package of nice soap and a dishcloth for a knitting pal. As part of the fun, there are a few contests going on, for one we are asked to describe our favorite summer activities. Mine are camping, hiking, swimming, knitting, going to concerts and music festivals (especially outdoors), drinking lemonade and iced tea, hanging out with friends and family, reading, shopping, gardening, playing badminton, driving in the country and learning new things. Summer is the best time to do just about anything. Whether it be reading, crafts or even cooking, you can take it outside and somehow, it’s even better.

I picked up some yarn and made a quick project tonight…I can’t reveal anything about it yet. I’ve also been working on a chunky scarf and that should be done quickly if I don’t decide to tear it out and use the slightly scratchy yarn for something else!

Hello to anyone who may still be checking this blog! As you may have noticed, I didn’t blog for about three months, for many reasons. However, I’m hoping to get back into the knitting spirit as Fall approaches and entertain my website guests once more. There’s only a bit more to go on the scarf, long anticipated not only by its recipient, but several of my readers! I have been working on it off and on during these months away from the site and hoping to see a lovely new photo up soon. Techguy also has some photos of the Autumn Sky socks I sent to my sockapaloooza pal and the ones I received from my pal, so we’ll see if we can get those up, as well!

Those who check my blog regularly may have noticed there’s usually a lull between my projects. I get tired of knitting and want to do other things. That’s what’s happening now. I’m ready for reading and taking long walks. Spotting small amounts of sunshine and stepping outside to enjoy it. Planting in my herb garden. I hope you will check in again sometime. I look forward to knitting, but I just need a break. I may be gone for several weeks this time.

Just a note to let my readers know that I’ll be taking a little break from posting. Maybe for a week or so. I may work on the brother-in-law hats a bit, but I want to read more than knit right now. So I’ll be reading Narnia and jotting down design ideas instead.
