I haven’t been doing a whole lot of knitting or crochet the past few weeks, as I somehow injured my right wrist. I have been really trying to take it easy and not stress it out too much.

However, my oldest niece, Roxie, (daughter of Lindie) is going far away and I felt compelled to crochet her a little gift to remind her of home. I came up with a lacy soap bag, making up the pattern as I went along. It was impromptu and the process of making and giving felt like a different kind of project, one that was possibly more personal than any other I have done. So given that and the fact that I gave it to her the day after it was finished up, there is no picture. I wrote up the pattern and my little sister, Christen, kindly tested it out for me. I will be posting it on the site.
