Well, I’ve switched to WordPress and so far I like it very much. There are way more options, such as I get to choose how to archive my posts, I can categorize them by subject and there is a working search. Yes, I tested it. It really works! Yay!
The image at the top is the one that came with this theme and while I like it very much, it obviously doesn’t go with knitting so it will have to go. IT/photoguy is helping me to design my very own theme, which should be rockin’. I’m coming up with some ideas for my header, which will be in a drawing style and featuring a sexy, slim she-elf.
I joined the RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) at the Knitty Coffee Shop today and found someone to send a few small, but nice items to. It should be fun to see how she likes them.
I’m also planning to be part of Sockapalthreeza (or whatever it will be called) if it happens this winter. For those who aren’t familiar with Sockapalooza, it’s a sock knitalong in which you get the name and address of another knitter for whom you make socks. You get handknit socks from one of the participants, not necessarily the same one you gave to.

I’ve been wondering what people use to get their own website with categories… Your crochet top is really cute! I have been shying away from crocheted items because I haven’t yet found a pattern that didn’t look like it should be an afghan, but this one is really different.
If you want to venture into lace shawls, the Charlotte’s Web pattern is fairly easy. People have definitely said that the pattern itself is confusing, but if you take the time to figure out how it builds on itself, it just flies. I’d be happy to help you if you do decide to do one and need a bit of help.
I think the Flowerbasket Shawl in Interweave Knits Summer ‘04 is a bit newer pattern and also seems pretty easy. You could also do the Kiri Shawl from All Tangled Up (free) in something other than KSH and it should be a reasonable first lace attempt.
Anyway, I hope this helps, and good luck with the new blog host!

Ah, I thought I recognized the header. I use WordPress too and have found it pretty easy to use with lots of features. I also changed the image in my header.
