September 2005

Well, I’ve switched to WordPress and so far I like it very much. There are way more options, such as I get to choose how to archive my posts, I can categorize them by subject and there is a working search. Yes, I tested it. It really works! Yay!

The image at the top is the one that came with this theme and while I like it very much, it obviously doesn’t go with knitting so it will have to go. IT/photoguy is helping me to design my very own theme, which should be rockin’. I’m coming up with some ideas for my header, which will be in a drawing style and featuring a sexy, slim she-elf.

I joined the RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) at the Knitty Coffee Shop today and found someone to send a few small, but nice items to. It should be fun to see how she likes them.

I’m also planning to be part of Sockapalthreeza (or whatever it will be called) if it happens this winter. For those who aren’t familiar with Sockapalooza, it’s a sock knitalong in which you get the name and address of another knitter for whom you make socks. You get handknit socks from one of the participants, not necessarily the same one you gave to.

Hello,

This is from Erica’s IT guy.
We are in the middle of a switch as you may have noticed….. :) Erica is using WordPress now instead of Blogger. Blogger was fine, but does not have the options Erica wanted. As of 01:10 09/24/2005 her blog is completely self contained. More changes are on the way. First the setting in process and debugging (like how to transfer all of the comments on the posts) then a redesign of the look (for now we are using a lovely design template from wpthemes called Connections )

Well, enough from the IT department.

A project that got put on the back burner for a while…started Summer 2004. I don’t recommend this pattern, as it’s really messed up. It seems all the corrections weren’t added to the Vogue Knitting website. As a result, a good percent of this was made up on the spot. From Vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2004.
